Torbay Easter Hockey
Festival is a select long running Hockey Festival steeped in tradition.
Teams return year on year which is testament to its popularity and its
success. Our focus is on excellent competitive hockey played with true
sportsmanship. All games are played on excellent astro pitches with
all facilities.
There are two trophies to be won: The Bill Stickles Cup - for the most
goals scored and our Fair Play Award - The Redcliffe Cup offering challenges
for all teams.
The Festival revolves around our Festival Headquarters, The Redcliffe
Hotel, Paignton - one of the most prestigious hotels in Torbay - which
offers a warm welcome to all participating hockey players and their
families. This includes excellent food, beer and wine at discounted
prices, BBQs every day on the Grand Terrace overlooking the Bay itself
and a glorious sandy beach.

Each team plays up to 7 games over the 4 days on excellent astro-turf
pitches situated in and around Torbay, from Dawlish in the east to Totnes,
Torquay and Clennon Valley.
Many teams bring
their families as the location is ideal for a combined family/sporting
holiday. Teams can enjoy their own entertainment as well as visiting
the Festival Headquarters at the Redcliffe Hotel, Paignton, the social
centre of the Festival, situated right on the sea front.
The Festival Committee
encourages Club sides of a good standard as well as teams of mixed abilities
with the emphasis being on hockey played in true Festival spirit.
